Varifocals obviously have a top, middle and bottom. It does how ever soon come as second nature to use the correct segment. I found driving about the worse at first and reverted to my old glasses for driving until I got use to them. I ordered mine on line and apart from getting use to them I haven't had any other problems.Spacsavers opticians have been highly caring and trustworthy. They've patiently delt with my problems regarding sorting out my new prescription and adjustment of my glasses over the months with very high customer care. No they're normal lenses for short sightedness but one thing I noticed was the lenses seem alot thicker than my old pair even tho there's supposedly very little difference. They also appear thicker...all varifocal lenses do have numbers and symbols etched into them to help identify them and verify the prescription.
